The Innopipe Story
Innopipe was built to solve a common problem:
remove liquids in gas pipelines to improve performance, reliability and return on investment.
Origin
Innopipe technology was invented in 1996 by pipeline engineer Miles Haukeness to fix a long-standing issue in gas transmission: traditional drips were missing most of the liquids in pipelines, especially those tied to underground storage caverns. By focusing on how liquids actually move in annular flow, he developed a new inline method to effectively remove liquids.
How it grew
From 1997 to 2011, more than 30 piggable Innopipe systems were installed across the Union Gas / Enbridge network, proving the concept in real-world service. In 2000, OilPro Oilfield Production began promoting the technology across Western Canada and internationally, expanding applications to gathering systems, compressor protection, tower carryover, inlet separation, and gas-fired power.
Innopipe Systems today
Innopipe Systems Ltd. was formed in 2015, bringing together the inventor and the OilPro team as partners with a shared vision to scale globally. Since then, installations worldwide have built a track record of reliability, high separation performance, and strong operational results.
