How Innopipe technology works
Liquids in natural gas lines reduce production, create slugging, increase corrosion risk, and make operations harder to manage. Innopipe removes liquids inline, improves flow, protects equipment, and keeps pipelines running efficiently.
The Innopipe technology is used in gas transmission, gathering systems, distribution systems, compressor protection, plant inlet separation, storage applications, and other gas-liquid separation duties. With more than 100 installations globally and growing, Innopipe is installed across a range of operating environments and configurations.
A different way to separate liquids
Traditional separators rely on gravity, which often misses annular liquid flows. Innopipe is different because it is purpose-built around annular flow, the high-velocity liquid flow pattern common in transmission lines where liquids travel as a film on the inside of the pipe rather than only at the bottom.
What the technology does
Innopipe removes produced water, hydrocarbon condensates, and chemicals from gas lines with high separation efficiency and an ultra-low pressure drop. That results in lower corrosion exposure, higher production, reduced slugging, better plant and pipeline performance, longer pipeline life, and less frequent pigging.
Engineered for real pipeline conditions
The Innopipe inline gas separator and piggable drip system consists of three main parts: the separator section, interconnecting piping, and a collection vessel. It is designed for lines from one inch to 60", built for any sweet or sour gas service, and adapts to required flow rates, pipeline sizes, and design codes worldwide, including ASME standards.
